<br/><br/> In that part of sheet 73 which has been traversed (i.e. the area north of the Chukai - Ayer Puteh road and the coastal areas), isolated hills are separated by extensive areas of swamps. These hills are often disturbed by Man with their agricultural and logging activities. Often these hills are overgrown with secondary jungle or resam and streams on these hills are usually dry or almost dry.
