N2  - Mukim Merlimau area are underlained by metasedimentary rocks. Although, actual outcrop is not observed here, but the information concerning the rock type is derived from aerial photographs studied, obeservation on soil profiles, and also based on the report by Ong (1975). 4 concentrate and 2 silt samples were collected from this area. Arenaceous rock type identified as sublitharenite and quartz arenite occur in the vicinity of Bukit Putera and Kampung Gelugor (Mukim Kundang). 4 concentrate and 1 silt samples were collected here
