N2  - The Klang gates concrete-gravity arch dam was built at the northern end of the Klang Gates Gorge and was commissioned in 1958. It is approximately 100 feet high with a crest length of about 400 feet. The reservoir impounded serves as the major source of water supply to the city of Kuala Lumpur situated 8miles to the southwest
