<br/><br/> The Padang Tengku area is geologically underlain by Gua Musang formation, Jelai formation and granitoids. The Gua Musang formation which age ranges from middle Permain to Lower Triassic (Scythian) is the oldest rock unit. It consists of three lithofacies, namely the argillaceous facies, calcareous facies and volcanic facies.
