N2  - Study area is located at Kuala Sungai Baharu to Kuala Linggi which is near to the coastal area of Melaka. The study area is mostly covered by meta-sedimentary rock and granite. Meta-sedimentary rocks consists of meta-quartzite, phyllite, shale and mica quartz schist. There are also deposited of sediment including Holosen's beach sand ridge which is mapped as Gula Formation and Beruas  Formation. A geoelectrical survey using electrical resistivity imaging was used to determine the distribution of three water zones; saline water, brackish water and fresh water present in the subsurface
