<br/><br/> The problems of determining the nature, the conditions of deposition, and the age of the alluvial beds covering so much of Malaya, with the special aim of gaining information of value in searching for new deposits of tin ore, is bound up with study of the changes in sea level and the accompanying changes in erosion and deposition that have occured since the time when the primary tin deposits in the granites, limestones, schists etc. were first exposed to erosion.
