<br/><br/> Test suitable for the quality control of clay pipes have been divided into three groups : primary control tests, ancillary tests and other tests. The first group comprises those tests specified in BS 65 & 540 : 1996, together with water absorption and permeability. The other two groups comprise further tests which are thought to be useful in maintaining high standards of quality. Ancillary tests are regarded as more important than other tests.
