N2  - In May 1972 the Geological Survey made a seismic refraction survey at the proposed Johore Bahru Airport. This was in response to a request by the JKR for geological information at the airport site. The primary purpose of the survey was to determine the thickness of the over burden and thus obtain a substance profile at the airport runway. The instrument used to record the seismic refraction waves is the ABEM Trio Seismic System. Readings were registered on self developing photosensitive paper and attention was directed in analysing the first arrivals
