<br/><br/> The seismic refraction survey was undertaken for the foundation areas of the proposed damsites and appurtenant structures (Aqueduct system, power intake, power station, Tailwater Tunnel and outlet channel, Reregulating weir and Borrow Area) with the following objectives to define, if possible the different lithological subdivisions in the overburden, to define the depth and morphology of the bedrock, to detect possible unconformities and weak zones (low velocity zones) within the bedrock.
