N2  - The seismic results from the Eastern Channel and Southern Coast indicate that the seabottom is generally covered with mud except in the deep channels. The seismic records indicate 3 stratigraphic units. The oldest unit consists of steeply dipping strator, followed by unconsolidated to semi-consolidated sediments which in turn is overlain by the youngest unconsolidated sediments
