The date some 20,000 km2 have been sampled in Kelantan, Pahang and Terengganu on a reconnaissance scale and about 20000 samples have been collected. An initial appraisal of part of the data collected has outlined several favourable areas in Pahang and Kelantan for further work. The findings show taht in aadition to the mesozorc sediments certain granitic bodies within the central Belt area have shown anomalous radioactivity not only from spectrometry, but also from stream sediment heavy mineral stream concentrate and water geochemistry,
