<br/><br/> This guide book describes the geology oh the West Sarawak and the Lupar Valley. These areas are recognised as belonging to four distinct tectonic provinces namely Pre-cretaceous Basement, cretaceous Melange,Foreare basin and Turbidite Basin.The Pre-cretaceous Basement Which occupies the NW Kalimantan, extends into the penrissen and Kuching areas of SW Sarawak are underlain rocks of palaeozoic and early Mesozoic age.
