N2  - The investigation of river sand deposits along the117 1km kuala oya-Nanga Tamin section of Batang Oya was carried out by using a grab sampler and a global positioning system. a total of a 40 sand deposits with a total reserve of 449,000m3 were recorded. Six representative sample have been analysed and the result indicate that the sand is generally fine to coarse grained while pebble is the maximum size for gravel
