Geophysical survey using resistivity/IP techniques was conducted at Sungai Tarom, Setiu, Terengganu to delineate lineaments or geological structures which could be associated with gold mineralizations.

Geophysical responses were recorded which likely reflect the underlying geology. Several high chargeability anomalies were identified which could correlate with the mineralization. Unit 3 and unit 5 are the most typical anomalies, exhibiting high chargeability and relatively low resistivities. Unit 5 are observed at depth (30 to 40 meter) however unit 3 appear to be closer to the surface and could possibly be identified by geological mapping or shallow trenching.
