520			_aSlope assessment is carried out for the purpose of slope management in the study area. The study area is chosen because developments in the two townships, Puchong Jaya and Bandar Kinrara have created many cut slopes and many of these cut slopes are near residential areas. The main purpose of this research paper is to study the geology of research area and to assess the cut slopes in terms of their stability and potential impacts using point - based rating methods. This research evaluates 24 slopes by using method addressed by the Geotechnical Engineering Office, Hong Kong (GCO, 1992) for prioritizing for slope management, maintenance and monitoring and method by USGS (Charles etal., 1993) for assessment of rock slopes for potential instability along highways. A cut slope inventory form was created in order to carry out the assessment.
