| 520 | _aThe primary aim of this follow-up clay investigation was to locate by Wenkie augering suitable clay deposits in the vicinity of the proposed major towns that are to be built during the Second Malaysia Plan. The clays are to be used for the manufacture of bricks, roofing tiles, sub-soil drainage and sewer pipes, and other products for building the settlements and infrastructure. Requirements for clays suitable for the manufacturing of floor tiles, garden tiles, pottery, and sanitary were are anticipated. Cottage industries can be set up to manufacture these production. This is in line with the government's policy to start small industries in the rural areas. | ||
