Investigations showed that an abandoned quarry measuring 80m (250 ft) wide and 30m (100ft) high is located at the fringe of the Bukit Tapah Forest Reserve. A few granite outcrops were observed along the track in the northern end of the survey area and a large exposure of bedrock was found along Sg. Gepai.
