The area lying between the towns of Menglembu and lahat on the western edge of the Kinta Valley has been a centre of mining for over 75 years and white it becomes economic to work lower and lower values this area continues to attract attention. There is within the area an estimated 1.5 million pikuls of concentrates to be won from 150 million cubic yards of material or an average of 1 kati per cubic yard. However not all this material is alluvial and thus this preliminary report is prepared as a basics for further investigation of the economic value.
