Summary, etc. Projek yang dijalankan ini adalah bertujuan untuk mengkaji geologi am dan permineralan besi di kedua - kedua lombong di kawasan Luit ini. Geologi am kawasan kajian merujuk kepada Unit Lapisan Sri Jaya. Antara litologi yang terdapat di kawasan kajian adalah unit argilit, unit berkalka, batuan igneus jenis piroklastik dengan plutonik. Analisis petrografi mendapati batuan tersebut adalah sabak, hornfel, marmar, tuf, breksia volkanik dan granodiorit. Analisis modal dan geokimia juga membuktikan bahawa batuan igneus plutonik tersebut berkomposisi granodiorit.
