| Summary, etc. | The detailed logging of the 87 hand-augered holes that have been carried out in an area of about 60sq.km at the north of the Miri area show that the area is underlined mainly by fine sand intercalating with soft,sticky clay lense/layers. The sand and clay are blanketed by variable thickness of topogeneous and ombrogeneous peat of up to 2.5m. |
