Summary, etc. The kaolin in Tapah - Bidor is probably derived from late phase hydrothermal alteration of the metasediments and granite in the area. the potential uses of the kaolin in Tapah - Bidor area are in the ceramics, mozaic tiles, sanitarywares and pottery industries. Further beneficiation of the kaolin may improve its grade to that of fillers for the paper, paint, rubber, plastic and fertiliser industries.
