Survey mikrograviti telah dilaksanakan di padang Sekolah Tarcisian Convent, Ipoh untuk memeta lohong yang menjadi punca kepada kejadian lubang benam tersebut dalam batu kapur. Keputusan survei telah menunjukkan kewujudan satu alur ('channel') dalam batu kapur. Disamping itu juga satu lohong juga telah dikenalpasti. Kejadian lubang benam di padang sekolah tersebut disebabkan oleh kewujudan lohong dan juga alur yang berupaya 'mengalirkan' sedimen.
