The Kuala Nerang area situated at the north eastern part of the State of Kedah is covered by the New Series Topographic Sheet 1. The total area covered by the map sheet is about 1,215 km of which 980 km belonging to Malaysia was mapped. The rest of the map sheet area belonging to Changwatt Songkhla of Thailand was not mapped.
