By: Ilya Izura MuratMaterial type: TextTextPublisher: 2010Description: xviii , 40 p. col . ill., maps 30 cmSubject(s): Dissertations, Academic -- Malaysia | Geology -- Pulau Pinang -- Teluk Bahang | Slope assessment -- Pulau Pinang -- Teluk Bahang | Teluk Bahang (Pulau Pinang)Dissertation note: Thesis (B.Sc.) Geology - Universiti Malaya, 2010 Summary: The geological aspect such as weathering grade and the geological structures such as discontinuities are also studied to see how are the factors control the slope stability. The slope assessment system used are SMS (Slope Maintenance System), SMS (Slope Information Management System), SMART (Risk Tracking System), MODEL A (Stepwise discriminant analysis) and MODEL B (Stepwise linear regression analysis). From the results this study it appears that MODEL A and MODEL B are the best SAS in evaluate the slope in granite formation which consists of from geology to engineering geological aspect in assessing the slope. Meanwhile SMART is not take into consideration as the best system because the database is derived from different lithology which is metasediment formation
