Material type: TextPublisher: 1961Description: 3p. 30cmSubject(s): Iron ore -- Geology -- Selangor -- Gapi, Sg | Gapi, Sg. (Selangor)Summary: The ore is haematite with subordinate magnetite and limonite. The bulk of the ore is fine-grained and granular, gives a reddish streak but some samples show a weak magnetic attraction with an occassional sample strongly magnetic. Material obtained from one of the thin veins of iron-ore was obviously attracted by a hand magnet although very little of it was actually lifted. It appears that the ore is haematite with a weak remanent magnetism.Item type | Current location | Collection | Call number | Status | Date due | Barcode | Item holds |
