The Layar Member is Late Cretaceous age (Liechti et al., 1960) and composed of slate, phyllite, shale and greywacke which covering about 25% of the studied area while the Kapit Member is composed of argillite, slate, phyllite, shale and greywacke which is deposited during Palae ocene-Early Eocene.
