By: Chu, Ling HengMaterial type: TextTextPublisher: 1980Description: 3p. ill., maps 33cmSubject(s): Mineral industries -- Pahang | Iron ore -- Geology -- Pahang | Dagut, Sg. (Pahang) | Chereh, Sg. (Pahang) | Lipas, Sg. (Pahang) | Engga, Sg. (Pahang)Summary: A medium-grained granite body chiefly of adamellitic to ganodioritic composition underlies the western half of the area surveyed. It is intrusive into an andalusite-bearing metasedimentary sequence comprising schists, states and pelitic hornfelses. These latter hornfelsic exposures are found close to the granitic contact. At two localities close to the contact quartz-sulphide veins were noted. Galena-spharelite-quartz veins were found at Sg. Chereh while galena-pyrite-quartz veins were noted at Sg. Lipas. In both cases the veins truncate hornfels.
