A geological examination of the deposit was made during April and May 1941, the results of which are summarized below; (a)Ore reserves of between 20,000,000 and 30,000,000 tons have been satisfactorily proved by the I.S.K. The I.S.K. estimate that a railway would cost about ,500,000 and would take three years to build. (e)The iron ore occurs as veins in sheared quartz porphyry, trending with the direction of shearing. (f)The iron was probably concentrated from an epidoterich granite which was intruded into the quartz-porphyry and surrounding sedimentary rocks.
